This Nordic battle axe claims to be from the end of the Viking age. Parts of the axe date from 1090, mainly the inscription of the lions, the crown and some detailing, but the axe itself is thought to be from around 1027. The axe was found in an ancient royal burial ground (Vang) and is most likely the reason for the modification. (Fantasy)
